Our team is headed up by chartered accountant Vere Witthoft. With a Masters degree in the complex field of tax, Vere has worked at SARS as a senior auditor as well as in the corporate field in South Africa and overseas, making him an expert in business tax matters.
Vere founded Witthöft Chartered Accountants in 2016. Today, the team services small and medium-sized South African businesses across a wide range of industries.

Vere WitthOft
With over 30 years of experience, our team is headed by Vere Witthoft, who qualified as a Chartered Accountant in 1992. He gained valuable experience when he worked at SARS as a senior auditor for two and a half years, learning the intricate workings of the tax collector. Vere then took a position at a large multinational construction company for two years as their project accountant. Then it was off to London where he spent six months on temporary assignments in the finance departments of various large companies. He then joined a chartered accountant firm, where he was a partner for 19 years. In 2016, Vere founded Witthöft Chartered Accountants.
